MY SCHOOL EXPERIENCE- SMKP- Part 2

Dear readers,
I have lots of things to tell you about my school experience at Petaling High School.
Well, I just completed my four weeks task at that school last MONTH (Friday, 20th August 2001).

Time flies, I couldn’t believe that I had to leave that school so fast. Perhaps, at first, I mean, on my first week, I didn’t like it so much, but, as I went through the whole period of time, I couldn’t resist the fact that I really love it so much.
I managed to create and write new doa(s) (in Bahasa Malaysia and English) for the school and trained the prefects to recite them every morning during school’s assembly. Alhamdulillah, the school principal, Pn.Bashirah and the prefects loved them very much. The doa is as followed:

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful,

All praise is due to Allah, and to Him do we beseech in our affairs of the world and the hereafter.
And may Allah’s peace and His blessings, be upon the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), his family, and his companions.

Oh, Allah,
· Bless us, the SMKP’s family, in our journey of delivering and pursuing knowledge in this beautiful world.
Oh, God,
· Grant us beneficial knowledge, one that will bring us 1001 hikmah(s) to our lives. And shield us from the evil.
Oh, Lord The Almighty,
· Shape us into better person(s), physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually, now and hereafter.
· And fill up our hearts with sincerity towards one another while completing our tasks and duties at SMKP.

May the peace, the mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon us.

Ameen.

*For the doa in Bahasa Malaysia, it is actually a translation of it.

Besides, I also taught my students, ranging from 13 to 16 years old, English, Japanese, Arabic and Islamic Education subjects. Hence, it’s not a surprised to hear them calling me “CIKGU”, “TEACHER”,“SEN SEI”, and “USTAZAH”. I love them very much, and thank GOD , they loved me too.

On my last day, I bought 25carnations, for the teachers as a symbol of thank you and love from me. Meanwhile, for my beloved students especially for 2Arif (form 2 students and Ameer, the school's head prefect, who helped me a lot in dealing with the prefects) I packed 26 packages of sweets, I made 26 bookmarks (hand made ones) and 26 Japanese scrolls for them. While for the others, I bought them food (e.g. candies and mini cakes) and wrote them notes on Japanese languages(vocabularies for daily conversation) on colourful cards. What I could say that, I couldn’t leave them with empty hand, I must buy something for them, thus I did so.

In return, out my expectation, the teachers also prepared something for me, some of them gave me chocolates, snacks, picture frames..etc. And the most touching one, was from 2 Arif. They performed me a nasyid entitled 'KAWAN' as a present, they wrote me poems, letters and cards, and they waited for me outside the teachers’ room after class. So did other students, most of them called out my names and went to the teachers’ room to say good bye, asked for forgiveness, and shaked and kissed my hands on my last day at school. It was not easy for me to describe it in words, but I really appreciated those things, what they have presented for me, those things really touched my heart.

Whenever, I flashbacked those memories, unconsciously I broke into tears (cry). I love them so much and i missed them too.

May Allah SWT bless us all and cherishes our life with long lasting happiness. Amiin.
